The Wedding of Hannah & Henry
Hannah & Henry held their wedding reception in the Garden Marquee at Victoria Park. Recently the pair sat down to discuss their big day with the Victoria Park team.
Tell us about your journey together, from how you met, to what the proposal was like!
We first met in our last year of high school through mutual friends. From the day we met we both imagined that one day we would be together. However, we had to wait 4 years before reconnecting and realising we were both perfect for each other. Since we have been together, we have been inseparable.
Henry proposed down at Burleigh Heads at our favourite beach/lookout. The proposal was the biggest and most magical surprise, we both cried (happy tears of course) and continued to celebrate with lunch and drinks with some of our closest friends. Needless to say, Hannah started planning the wedding straight away!
What (besides the obvious ‘I do’) was your favourite part of your wedding?
The whole wedding was everything we could have dreamed of and more. Our favourite part of the wedding was when we were out on the beautiful parklands taking photos with our bridal party. The Victoria Park staff that escorted us around in golf buggies were so fun and accommodating and recommended the most beautiful spots to capture our day.
Tell us about your decorations and wedding styling – did you incorporate anything new / a theme? What did you choose for your wedding entertainment and guest favors?
For our styling and flowers we chose to use Beautiful Weddings. Our theme/colours were blush, champagne and nude – for an elegant and simple look.
For our wedding entertainment we had Noah Fonoti. He is amazing when he is singing and playing his guitar and he created the most beautiful atmosphere.
What’s the best piece of advice you can give other brides to be?
Some of our best advice is to be super organised. Start planning and decide on a date and venue as soon as you can, then book in your main suppliers well in advanced, that way you won’t get disappointed if you leave it too late and they are all booked up!!
Would you recommend Victoria Park to other people getting married?
We would highly recommend Victoria Park to other couples who are planning their weddings. Jordyn our wedding planner was amazing, nothing was too much hassle and she answered my constant questions/emails so fast. All the staff on the day of our wedding went out of their way to ensure everything was exactly as we wanted and that the day/night ran perfectly. We can’t thank them enough for making our special day perfect.
