Where is Victoria Park located?+
Victoria Park is on Herston Road, Herston a 10-minute drive from the CBD located near the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital and opposite the University of Queensland School of Dentistry. If you’re coming from: Brisbane CBD or Eastern Suburbs – Head via the M3 to Gilchrist Ave in Herston, take the Herston Rd exit from M3. Northern Suburbs – Head via Enoggera Rd or Lutwyche Rd.
Is there parking available onsite?+
We have three complimentary carparks available onsite which hold 210 cars plus additional overflow grass parking areas.
How far away is Victoria Park from Brisbane airport?+
Victoria Park is a 12-minute drive from the Brisbane airport via the Airport Link.
What public transport is located near Victoria Park?+
Herston Busway Station is located only a short walk from Victoria Park with buses 66, 330, 333 and 340 stopping regularly, collecting passengers from north to south and passing through the Brisbane CBD. For more information visit closest railway station is approximately 25 minutes’ walk. To visit Victoria Park by train We suggest disembarking at Bowen Hills, Roma St or Fortitude Valley railway stations then take a taxi or bus to Herston Rd. Do you cater for guest dietary requirements?+
Yes, our chefs will prepare a separate meal to cater for your guests’ dietary requirements should your chosen menu not already provide an option for them.
What is the dress code at Victoria Park?+
Victoria Park does not have an enforced dress code. At events the dress code is at discretion of the event organiser.
Do you offer recommendation lists for preferred suppliers?+
Yes, your venue planner can provide a list of our preferred suppliers that you may choose to work with to help bring your event to life.
What accommodation is located near Victoria Park?+
Victoria Park is partnered with the Ovolo Fortitude Valley and Sofitel. Please contact your planner on [email protected] to receive your preferred rate or simply mention you are a Victoria park client with the reservations team at each venue to receive a discount.
When will my venue planner be in contact with me?+
Once your event booking is confirmed, your venue planner will be in contact shortly after to introduce themselves. Following this, they will be in touch to provide any instalment invoices that may be due in the lead up to the event. As a guide, you will receive your event’s draft runsheet a month prior to your event date along with the relevant food and beverage menus. Should you need anything else, your planner is always happy to help.
Is there disability access to the venue?+
Yes, each function room has disability access. Please ask your venue planner for more information regarding access to your specific function room.
Who coordinates my event on the day?+
The week before your event, you will be allocated a function manager who will be your point of contact on the event date. They will receive the completed event runsheet from your venue planner and meet with you when you arrive to your function room.
Can I BYO Liquor & Food?+
As a licensed venue, Victoria Park does not allow BYO food and drink.
Are children allowed at events held at Victoria Park?+
Yes, children under 18 are most welcome at events however parental/guardian supervision is always required, being a licensed venue.
Can I bring my own decorations?+
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own decorations on the day of the event. Please note, Victoria Park has a strict policy of no confetti or scatters. We also do not allow anything to be hung from our ceilings or attached to the walls. All external styling must be setup by yourself or the third party supplier. Should the room be available prior to your event, you may discuss with your planner an earlier access time to set-up.
Is there carpark access for buses?+
If guests are arriving via private/chartered buses, they will need to be set down at the front of the Main Function Building and follow the necessary walkways up to their function space. Please advise your planner if your guests are arriving or departing via private/chartered buses. Your planner can provide a map of the venue to help explain this.
