Australian Wedding Blogs

There are wonderful Australian wedding blogs with substantial readership and large numbers of followers like Hello May and Polka Dot Bride. But in this post, we wanted to feature blogs you may not have heard of and blogs with a different perspective. We’ve taken the time to select 12 Australian wedding blogs you should follow for your wedding inspiration. In no particular order, they are:

Vintage Bride

Planning a vintage or eclectic wedding? Then Vintage Bride blog is for you. This site covers rustic, outdoor, boho and other styles of alternative weddings. Just take a look at the Game of Thrones inspired wedding! Definitely sticking to their mission to not “feature a white chair covers with shiny sashes or any of the other uninspiring, generic elements that can be found when trying to plan your big day”, you’ll find so many great weddings to inspire you. You can also check out their directory and buy their print magazine.

Pink Caviar Events Blog

This blog is part of the Pink Caviar company website. We really like the “Ask Emilie” section of the Pink Caviar Events blog. Here Emilie answers personal and professional  questions from real clients like “To Elope or not to Elope” and “DIY Wedding or Professional Stylist?”. In addition, the founder Stephanie Cassimatis has included a section with short wedding planning video tips. The rest of the blog offers more advice and wedding inspiration.

The White Files

From stylist Ella Zampatti, the White Files showcases inspirational wedding content from around the world. Whether it’s the wonderful plus sized collection from Karen Willis Holmes or the feature on bridesmaid dress trends, you can spend hours drooling over this site. You can also swing by her Instagram page for more modern, luxurious looks.

Lovestoned Bridal

If you’re looking for something a little bit different, traditional with a bit of a twist, Lovestoned Bridal is the site for you. Rychelle and her team go to great lengths to source, share and promote all the very best labels and vendors to keep you fully up to date with the very best in Australian creativity. The Instagram is even more swoon worthy with accessories and styling imagery.

Morris Images

There are a large number of great Australian wedding photographer blogs on the web. We added Morris Images blog to our list for two main reasons. First, the pages and pages of wonderful, real wedding photography in some stunning locations. And second, the useful wedding advice such as wedding bouquet ideas and amazing wedding cakes to spark the imagination.

Tania Maras

Tania Maras has forged a reputation for her thoughtfully designed headpieces that not only show a quality of craftsmanship but also Tania’s unique take on modern romantic styling. Her blog showcases her remarkable pieces while providing  hair inspiration and accessory advice. A couple of our favourites are the ultimate wedding hair styles of 2018 and the wedding accessories with hints of empire blue.

The Together Journal

The Together Journal celebrates creative and authentic real weddings from all around the world. If you’re looking for real wedding inspiration with stunning photography, you’ve found it. Unlike many wedding sites, this online magazine also features food, beauty, styling and honeymoon inspiration. Swing by their Instagram page for more visual treats.

Farewell Fiance

This online blog/magazine is an essential stop for couples planning sophisticated nuptials. Whether you want details on the latest chic wedding hairstyles or ideas for songs for your first dance, this site has you covered. We really like honeymoon destination features with incredible imagery from Iceland and Marrakech.

Paperlust

We wanted to include something different and the Paperlust blog is definitely that! While most wedding blogs focus on the wedding dress, location and styling; this blog features wedding invitation ideas. We loved the detailed look at the Gatsby inspired invitations and the destination wedding invitations.

The Wedding Playbook

We love the Wedding Playbook blog/online magazine from mother and daughter duo Kathy and Danielle. They separate the wedding ideas into boho, modern, romantic, rustic and vintage and feature real weddings for each style. The supplier section is easy to navigate with a brief Q&A from each recommendation. They are building quite the following on Instagram so have a look there too!

La Bride

La Bride is an Australian based Bilingual (English and Chinese)  blog sharing the latest bridal inspiration and imagery from around the world. We appreciate the Wedding-o-paedia with discussions about wedding preparation from international experts. This site is certainly one to watch.

A Lavish Affair

The blog of South Yarra based boutique wedding planners and stylists. We like the Real Weddings collection of classic weddings they created for their clients. The rest of the blog is packed with brief wedding planning tips and styling advice.
