Meet the Victoria Park event and functions team. Our knowledgeable team are passionate and dedicated to ensuring we deliver successful events that last in the memories of our clients and their special event guests.
Jessie Newell – Director of Sales & Events
My role at Victoria Park oversees the events and sales department including all corporate, wedding and private event clients. I am an open minded, easy going high achiever who has been in the industry for 17 years and enjoy delivering continued success and strong sales results at this stunning venue. When I’m not networking or managing the team here at Victoria Park I love spending time with my husband and two boys. Samantha Pearson – Wedding Sales Executive
My name is Sam and I have over six years of experience in the event and wedding industry. I am known for my bubbly, ‘can-do’ attitude and I truly love what I do! My fiance and I fall into the ‘high school sweethearts’ category and I am a true romantic, which I think this is why I thrive dealing with loved up couples who are preparing to tie the knot. Amy Colston – Corporate Sales Executive
Born and raised in Brisbane, I have been passionately involved in the hospitality scene for 18 years. My extensive experience in the industry ensures I can grasp client’s requests and provide events that exceed their expectations, pre-empting requirements from a planning and logistics point of view. Joining the team at Victoria Park recently would definitely be the highlight of my career so far. I am thrilled to join such a dedicated and enthusiastic team of young professional women working to provide the highest quality events to suit all needs and budgets. Eve Telford – Corporate Sales Executive
After completing my degree in Communications and Marketing, my exposure to events led me to my ideal career and I have now been in the corporate event industry for four years. In my personal life, I love all things Disney, and have even lived and worked at Disney World in Florida for a year! Katrina Whiteman – Sales Coordinator
I have recently joined the Victoria Park Corporate Sales team in the coordinator role. I have worked in the events and hospitality industry for close to ten years. After completing my Event’s Management degree at the University of Queensland I was fortunate enough to move straight into a Wedding and Event sales role. Over the space of four years I loved working with each couple to help bring their visions to life and building lasting relationships with industry suppliers. In April 2018 I welcomed a little boy into my family and took a year off to soak up all the baby cuddles possible. This year I am most looking forward to continuing to grow my events and industry knowledge and work closely with this amazing team to deliver a staggering amount of events each year. Lauren Allen – Senior Event Planner
My name is Lauren and am thrilled to be part of the Victoria Park family as a Wedding & Event Planner! Working in retail admin for most of my adult career, I knew it was time to follow my dream of becoming a Event Planner. Having experience in the planning process, and previously a function manager I will make sure to never skip over a detail. As a Canadian I naturally wanted to escape the freezing cold, thankfully my mum was born in Australia so now I am a Aussie/Canadian! I pride myself on my organisational skills and am a perfectionist. Karissa Bravo – Event Planner
I joined Victoria Park’s events team in November 2016 after working in the hotel industry for 5 years. Previous to that I spent 6 years living and working in Scotland before travelling Australia and returning home to Brisbane. I love being a part of such a passionate team who put so much pride, energy and fun into their work. Working as an events planner, getting to meet new clients and having the opportunity to be a part of the planning process is a truly exciting experience to be a part of. Jenae Foreman – Event Planner
Born and raised in Toowoomba, I am a country girl at heart but am thrilled to be a Wedding and Event Planner in Brisbane at Victoria Park. Before leaving my home town to make the move to Brisbane, I had been involved in the Wedding & Event’s Industry for 10 years. I have a soft spot for planning weddings in which I enjoy assisting my couples in the initial planning stage to the ‘I Do’s’ and seeing their dream wedding unfold. Tayla Simpson – Event Planner
My first boss told me that my organisation and attention to detail would be perfect for working in the events industry one day and by dedication over the last 4 years being apart of the Victoria Park operations team, I have recently made the move to join the sales team here at Victoria Park, finding my true passion. I’ve had the privilege of working my way up to a function manager position and now lucky enough to apply my floor-based knowledge and experience to event planning. Being able to understand the events process from start to finish is the greatest advantage and being a part of a passionate and driven team has been the most rewarding part! Eloise McElroy – Event Assistant
My experience in administration spans 7 years, of which the past 3 have introduced me to the wedding and events industry through working with a local cake company: A Little Cake Place. My love for events and music stems from a lifetime of skirting the lines of events and event planning, a role that comes almost hand-in-hand with being a dedicated musician. I am extremely excited to be a part of the Victoria Park team as the Events Assistant, the first face you see when you pop in and say Hi!
