Meet the Victoria Park event and functions team. Our knowledgeable team are passionate and dedicated to ensuring we deliver successful events that last in the memories of our clients and their special event guests.


Jessie Newell – Sales Manager

I have recently joined the fabulous team here at Victoria Park as Sales Manager.  My role will oversee the events and sales department including all corporate, wedding and private event clients.  I am an open minded, easy going high achiever who has been in the industry for 15 years and am looking forward to delivering continued success, strong sales results and new energy to this stunning venue.  When I’m not networking or managing the team here at Victoria Park I love spending time with my husband and two boys. Lois Penney – Corporate Sales Executive

After working in the corporate admin world for 5 years, I found my niche in the events industry and have spent the last 5 years cultivating my love for events! Having previously managed conferencing for corporate businesses, working at Victoria Park provides a unique logistical perspective on a variety of events and I love that no two days here are ever the same. I have recently completed my Master of Business Administration (MBA), and I’m looking forward to my new found free time spent catching up with friends and taking on new challenges. Phoebe Johnson – Wedding Sales Executive

Hi I’m Phoebe and I am excited to be part of the vibrant and talented Victoria Park team as Sales Executive for Weddings and Private Events. My purpose is to make your dream event possible starting with the ideal event space, of which we have plenty.
After 15 years in the world of performing arts and events, I can certainly say I understand what it takes to put on a good show. I have a genuine desire to create memorable experiences for people and am passionate about delivering a quality service. Prior to my role at Victoria Park, I had successfully built an event staffing business which has given me a very holistic understanding and approach to the work I do. Outside of work I love time with my partner, my two stepsons and our puppy Suede. I grew up around Byron Bay and I am a nature lover so you’ll always find me hiking, on the slopes when there is snow or at the beach in summer. Eve Telford – Corporate Event Planner

Like most Event Planners my love for events comes from watching my clients ideas and dreams come to life.  I pride myself in perfecting the imperfect, organising the disorganised and most importantly creating an event that will be remembered for all the right reasons. After completing my degree in Communications and Marketing, my exposure to events led me to my ideal career, and I have now been in the corporate event industry for two years. In my personal life, I love all things Disney, and have even lived and worked at Disney World in Florida for a year! Lauren Allen – Wedding & Event Planner

My name is Lauren and am thrilled to be part of the Victoria Park family as a Wedding & Event Planner! Working in retail admin for most of my adult career, I knew it was time to follow my dream of becoming a Event Planner. Having experience in the planning process, and previously a function manager I will make sure to never skip over a detail. As a Canadian I naturally wanted to escape the freezing cold, thankfully my mum was born in Australia so now I am a Aussie/Canadian! I pride myself on my organisational skills and am a perfectionist. Sam Langford – Wedding & Event Planner

My name is Sam and I have over six years of experience in the event and wedding industry. Planning events is definitely my calling; this is something I have been projecting upon my family and friends since I was about seven. I am known for my bubbly, ‘can-do’ attitude and I truly LOVE what I do! My boyfriend and I fall into the ‘high school sweethearts’ category and I am a true romantic, which I think this is why I thrive dealing with loved up couples who are preparing to tie the knot. I am relatively new to the Victoria Park team and am extremely excited to be here. Victoria Park is such a special place with so much to offer and I’m thrilled to be contributing to it. Karissa Bravo – Event Planner

I joined Victoria Park’s events team in November 2016 after working in the hotel industry for 5 years. Previous to that I spent 6 years living and working in Scotland before travelling Australia and returning home to Brisbane.  I love being a part of such a passionate team who put so much pride, energy and fun into their work.  Working as an events plannes, getting to meet new clients and having the opportunity to be a part of the planning process is a truly exciting experience to be a part of.  Contact Karissa: [email protected]
